Abstract

     Jabal Sabran (Sabran Mountain) is a hill which is extended in length, 7-8kilometers and in width, 2-3 kilometers. It is located in Al-Shamayatain district whose centre is Al-Torbah, which the capital of Al-Hogariyah. In fact, it is a vital centre, but nowadays it became the capital of Taiz governorate due to displacing to it from Taiz city, Aden and other governorates.

   Jabal Sabran is bordered to Jabal Sabran district and Al-Mathahig district from the east. To the west, it is bordered to Thobhan district, Al-Siratain district, and Al-Torbah centre. To the west, it is bordered to Shargab district. To the north, it is bordered to Al-Mashariqah district and Mahdan villages. Because of all these qualifications, there are some people who want to change this mountain to dispersed dwellings, on one hand, and other people want to change it to a university, on the other. The wastes of these buildings will have an environmental impact on the area, ball and will tourism the neighboring areas and villages from its services. They will even impact its water bodies and pollute the frame and quality of environmental life of such villages. Moreover, there are other people who want to establish a five-star hotel, which will spoil the values, traditions and customs of the area.

Accordingly, the current study presents an appraisal as a vision of Jabal Sabran. It can be a three-dimensional zoo as it will conform to the values and services of the society. The research also explains the most important and beneficial services for the society surrounding Jabal Sabran if it is fulfilled, especially such professions and activities that do not contradict with the values of the society.

This study set out an appraisal for a three-dimensional zoo (a zoo that raises animal species in such a mountain, and a game park for children and a park as a recreation spot for families, a multi-activities sport club in all its facilities). This investment project must be planned through experts, businessmen who have concerns with tourist investment and local and foreign promotion. This project will constitute a recreation spot for the inhabitants of Al-Hogariyah, which today has a high population density. Hence, the population suffers from pressures in mobility, entertainment and recreation activities.

Therefore, the population of Taiz and Aden cities, which are near Al-Hogariyah, need this tourist and cultural manifestation to mitigate their sufferings. This zoo will generate incomes for its managers and will generate opportunities for jobs for the youth (males and females) and for these areas, especially the areas neighboring Jabal Sabran. Consequently, this project will be successful because it is designed wisely as it did not and will not spoil the values of the neighboring areas. This mountain is the inhabitants’ cultural spots which historically inherited from their predecessors.
