The necessary administrative leadership to care for the gifted among school principals in Al-Dhahar District in Ibb Governorate

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to know the administrative leadership necessary to care for the gifted in the schools of the Directorate of Dhahar. And to find out if there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a≤0.05) for the estimates of the answers of the sample members due to variables (gender, academic qualification, type of academic qualification, years of experience)The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection, which was built according to the scientific method, which is a five-scale closed questionnaire that included (28) items and was distributed according to three areas that identify some of the leadership skills necessary to nurture the gifted: personal skills, administrative skills, technical skills. The research community was identified from the administrative leaders in the schools of Al-Dhahar District, which numbered (1538) teachers. Choose from them in a deliberate non-random way (77) teachers. Use statistical analysis with a statistical bag for the social sciences (SPSS) to measure the stability of the instrument and find arithmetic averages and standard deviations. As well as knowing the differences between the estimates of the answers of the sample members according to the research variables.

The research concluded a set of results, the most important of which are: that the administrative leadership necessary to nurture the gifted was high. It was found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a≤0.05) between the average answers of the sample members due to variables: gender, educational qualification, type of educational qualification, and years of experience.

In accordance with its findings, some recommendations were made, including:

  • Develop a detailed annual plan for the various tasks of administrative leaders involving specialists from all fields of gifted people.
  • Develop a future vision of the needs of the gifted. And work to provide the necessary of their needs.
  • Work to create an encouraging environment for the care of the gifted in which both schools and the local community are involved.
