Only 10.5% of individuals received training in caring for critically ill patients with obesity, with the main training duration being 5 days. Further, substantial deficiencies in the availability and adequacy of essential tools and equipment required for the care of critically ill obese patients

Conclusion: By addressing these critical areas and overcoming obstacles, healthcare facilities can significantly improve the care of critically ill obese patients, ensuring better health outcomes and a safer environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
Yahya Khamis Ahmed Almualm الحقوق الفكرية (c) 2024 مجـلـة جـامـعـة السـعيد للعلـوم التطبيقية https://journal.alsaeeduni.net/index.php/SJAS/article/view/246 Sun, 29 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Developing a model to detect and prevent DDoS attacks in SDN environments using machine learning https://journal.alsaeeduni.net/index.php/SJAS/article/view/247
A developing architecture called Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is dynamic, manageable, affordable, and adaptive, making it perfect for the high-bandwidth, dynamic nature of today's applications. The network control and forwarding functions are separated in this design, allowing for direct programming of the network control and the abstraction of the underlying infrastructure for applications and network services. One type of cyber-attack that affects the infrastructure of these networks is a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack. When a victim is the target of a DDoS attack, the servers are jammed or overwhelmed with the malicious traffic to prevent the legitimate users from accessing their accounts or legitimate online services. To detect and prevent this attack, in this paper we developed a model to detect and prevent a DDoS attack in SDN environments using machine learning. The proposed model work to detect the attack by identifying the attacker's switch ID and port number, and collect them as a unique number that is added to a special list. Before processing data traffic for any device, the ID number and port number are combined as a unique number, and the list is searched. If they match, this data is ignored, without closing the controller.
Raad Abdo Mohammed Al Selwi، Mogeeb Abdulhakim Saeed، Mohammed Ahmed M. Saif، Ammar Hasan M. The results shows that coconut fiber does not affect the compressive strength of concrete. The percentages of coconut fiber added to the concrete are 0.1%, 0.15% and 0.5% of the concrete sample weight. The ratio of w/c is varied in the trial mix design, and the best ratio is 0.5. The standard cube size is 150 mm3 and the cubes are cured for 7 days, 14 days and 28 days

The first aim of this study is to identify the workability of fresh concrete containing additional coconut fiber. The second aim is to determine the ideal amount of coconut fiber added to the concrete mix. The third aim is to investigate the effect of the additional coconut fiber to the compressive strength of the concrete. The compressive strength of the 0.10% coconut fiber concrete recorded the highest compressive strength with 43.63N/mm2 after 28 curing days. The lowest compressive strength of coconut fiber concrete was 25.50N/mm2 for the 0.5% coconut fiber concrete. Concrete with 0.5% generally resulted in the lowest strength compared to 0.10% and 0.15%.
Ajlan Qasem Ajlan الحقوق الفكرية (c) 2024 مجـلـة جـامـعـة السـعيد للعلـوم التطبيقية https://journal.alsaeeduni.net/index.php/SJAS/article/view/248 Sun, 29 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Optimization of Cultural Conditions for Enhanced Lipid Accumulation by a Local Isolate of Cunninghamella sp. using Response Surface Methodology https://journal.alsaeeduni.net/index.php/SJAS/article/view/249
Microbial lipid production by oleaginous fungi offers a potential promising source for producing polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), valuable compounds for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications. Optimization of culture conditions is essential for enhancement of microbial lipid production. The aim of this study is to improve the lipid synthesis using a local oleaginous mold of Cunninghamella spp. The effects of several factors including carbon source, nitrogen source, pH and incubation time on lipid accumulation by Cunninghamella spp were investigated conventionally (one-variable-at-a-time). The results showed that the most effective carbon source was glucose and sodium nitrate was the best nitrogen source for lipid synthesis. The optimum pH and incubation time were found to be 6.0 and 5 days, respectively. Furthermore, glucose concentration, sodium nitrate and pH were further optimized to maximize lipid production using response surface methodology (RSM). A central composite design (CCD) was applied, and a polynomial regression model with a quadratic term was used to estimate the experimental data using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results of RSM-CCD optimization indicated that the optimal concentrations of glucose and sodium nitrate were 38.28 g/L glucose, 0.48 g/L, respectively, at a pH value of 5.79, resulting in a lipid accumulation of 25.4% (w/w). The quadratic model revealed that pH was the most influential factor in lipid synthesis by Cunninghamella spp., a local isolate demonstrating efficient lipid accumulation potential.
